Former UP MLA found unconscious in train

Chandauli (UP): A former four-time MLA from Uttar Pradesh was found unconscious in a train after suspectedly being drugged by some unidentified persons.

Jwala Prasad, a former MLA from Machlishahr constituency in Jaunpur district, was found unconscious last night in the AC coach of Rajgir-bound Shramjeevi Express at the Mughalsarai station here, GRP sources said.

He was allegedly given tea by members of some drug and rob gang, they said, adding that further probe into the matter is on.

Prasad is contesting from Mungra Badshapur constituency of Jaunpur district in the upcoming state Assembly polls on Apna Dal ticket.
