Four organisers of a relief camp were booked for allegedly cheating the riot victims on the pretext of providing housing land, police said here on Saturday.

Muzaffarnagar: Four organisers of a relief camp were booked for allegedly cheating the riot victims on the pretext of providing housing land, police said here on Saturday.

Afser, Zishan, Moshin and Bhura, were booked yesterday on the complaints of riot victims at the relief camp in Roten village under Jhinjhana police station in Shamli district, police said.
When the victims demanded their money back, the accused threatened them, police said, adding the accused were absconding.
Over 60 persons were killed and more than 40,000 displaced in communal violence in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas in September last.
