Muzaffarnagar: A gangster, carrying a cash
reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, and his aide were killed in
an encounter by the police, officials said.
Two policemen were also injured in the gunfight at
Bhaju village last night.
"Gangster Anil and his aid Rajender were killed in an
encounter. Anil was wanted in a number of criminal cases,
including murder, kidnapping and dacoity," said Senior
Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar.
In another incident, two wanted criminals Ramsat and
Omsat, both brothers, were killed in exchange of gunfire with
the villagers near Sonta village of the district last evening.
Police is investigating the matter.
