Muzaffarnagar: An alleged gangster wanted in
connection over an attack on a police patrolling team, was
arrested on Wednesday in Pelha village in the district, a police
official said.
"Murrai Bawariya, wanted in several cases of murder and
robbery has been arrested and two police rifles seized from
his possession," Deputy Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar
Shinde said.
On November 3, Murrai and four of his accomplices carried
out an attack on a police patrolling team in the village and
looted two police rifles, in which one guard and a constable
were injured, Shinde said.
A hunt has been launched to nab the four accused, he
said.
