Babudan and Gappu were arrested here while another accused Pappu was already arrested on the same day, Circle Officer, Chetganj, Rahul Mishra said.

According to police, the girl's mother has alleged that the three youths had entered their house in the morning of December 18 and set her daughter on fire by pouring kerosene on her when she opposed the trio's teasing and harassment.

The trio used to stalk her daughter on the way to school, police quoted her as saying.

The class XII girl is still undergoing treatment at a government hospital here, with nearly 70 per cent burn injury, Mishra said.

An FIR has been registered against the three persons under Sections 354 (for assaulting a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) of IPC at Sigra police station on the same day, he said, adding that a probe was on in the matter.
