Girl injured in celebratory firing in UP

Muzaffarnagar: A sixteen-year-old girl was injured in celebratory firing during a marriage function at Jhodi village in neighbouring Bagpat district, police said here on Friday.

Komal, a class 12th student, was admitted to a hospital with bullet injury, police said.

Police has registered a case against accused Manish, who is absconding.

The incident occurred last evening when the marriage party was passing through a street under Binoli police station area in the Baghpat district, SHO Naresh Chand said.

Arjun (25), was admitted to a hospital in serious condition, Circle Officer Nishank Sharma said, adding a case has been registered against accused.
