Hearing in 2008 Rampur attack case adjourned

A local court has adjourned the hearing in the 2008 CRPF attack case in Uttar Pradesh, in which seven jawans and one civilian were killed.

Rampur (UP): A local court has adjourned the hearing in the 2008 CRPF attack case in Uttar Pradesh, in which seven jawans and one civilian were killed, after the witnesses in the case did not turn up for deposition.

Eight terrorists, equipped with sophisticated rifles, hand grenades and other explosives, had attacked Rampur based CRPF recruitment centre on January 1, 2008.

Special Judge Vijinder Singh adjourned the hearing yesterday as the witnesses including a sub-inspector, a constable and a doctor, who had conducted post-mortem of the victims, did not turn up, sources said.
However, the court fixed October 6 for the next hearing.
