Hindu Yuva Vahini activists go on rampage in Mau

An FIR was registered against local Samajwadi Party leader Dhanshyam Mishra, his father, two brothers and two more persons in connection with the killing.

Mau: Hindu Yuva Vahini activists,
protesting the murder of their leader, on Wednesday went on a rampage
in the city damaging vehicles.

Police swung batons to disperse the protesters and
restore calm, officials said.

The youths staged a demonstration, damaged vehicles
and vandalised property, they said adding Radhey Shyam, the
city president of the Vahini, was arrested.

Vahini`s UP Coordinator Vishnu Dutt Ojha was killed
on Monday in Basti by some persons sparking pitched battles
between members of the Hindu group and SP activists.
City Police Station SHO was suspended and an inquiry
instituted to probe Ojha`s killing.

An FIR was registered against local Samajwadi Party
leader Dhanshyam Mishra, his father, two brothers and two more
persons in connection with the killing.
