Muzaffarnagar: A murder case has been
registered against a man and his two brothers for allegedly
killing a youth, who had eloped with his daughter, in Bopada
village here, police said.
The 22-year-old Niraj and the man's daughter eloped last
month. On November 5, the girl returned to her parents but
the youth went missing. He was later found hanging from a tree
on November 11.
The victim's father claimed it was an honour killing case and lodged an FIR against four members of the girl's family
following which a murder case was registered against her father and two uncles, police said.
The accused are absconding, they said.
