Barabanki: An inquiry has been ordered into a flag hoisting incident when the tricolour fell down from atop the pole during Republic Day celebrations, police
said on Thursday.
The national flag fell yesterday when minister Sangram Singh Varma pulled its string, SP Navneet Rana said, adding that while fixing the flag the pole came down too.
An inquiry has been ordered against the concerned police personnel and strict action will be taken, he said.
