Jilted lover stabs woman, mother in Lucknow

Lucknow: A woman and her mother were
allegedly stabbed by a jilted lover and his accomplice in the
Wazirganj area here, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred last evening when the accused
Rahul (22) and his accomplice Babloo stabbed the 35-year-old
woman and her mother after the woman allegedly refused to
marry him.

Rahul was allegedly having an affair with the woman
since past few months and wanted to marry her, they said.

Rahul was nabbed by the locals after the incident but
his accomplice Babloo managed to flee from the spot, police
said, adding that a case of attempt to murder has been lodged
against the accused and hunt is on to nab the absconding
culprit.
