Lucknow: Veteran BJP leader M M Joshi advised the state unit of the party to raise public issues in a big way, saying they were not making the most of the UP government`s shortcomings.

"UP government is giving you enough opportunities and issues but you are not raising them," Joshi said in his address as the chief guest at the working committee meeting.
"What about the dragging of the lady police officier in Bareilly by her subordinates when she raised her voice against corruption... it has not been raised properly...what the women`s wing of the party is doing," Joshi asked.

In a resolution passed at the meeting, the BJP reiterated
its resolve to oppose the BSP government in state accusing it
of misusing the law to crush all voice of dissent and cover up
rampant corruption, party spokesman Satyadev Singh said.
