Kanpur: Four drug peddlers held

Hyderabad: Four drug peddlers were today arrested and 2 kg of charas were seized from them, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, the task force personnel nabbed Mohammad Taj, prime accused in the case and his friend Mohammad Farhan, from Langer Houz locality, when they were trying to sell the contraband to customers, they said.

Two other accused - Mohammad Anwar and Mohammad Ashwaq - were taken into custody from different places in the city.

According to police, Saleem Bhai, a resident of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, used to supply charas to the prime accused Mohammad Taj who would sell it with the help of his three accomplices.

Police said, a police team would be sent to Kanpur to nab Saleem.

The gang used to procure one kg of charas at the rate of Rs 15,000 from Saleem and sell it at Rs 50,000 per kg to customers in the city, they added.
