Kanpur Police's helpline gets ISO certificate

Kanpur: The helpline launched by the Kanpur Police was given the ISO certificate, police said on Friday.

IG, Kanpur, Ashutosh Pandey said that the helpline 'Ek Number Bharose Ka' has got ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

"Our next step is to make this service paperless. We now note the complaints on register, but a software is being developed where the grievances will be listed in computers," he added.

The helpline number, 0512-2310512, on which people can register their complaints through calls or messages was launched in April, 2015.

It was started in 176 police stations of nine districts under Kanpur zone-- Kanpur city, Kanpur village, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Jhansi, Jalaun and Lalitpur.
