Ayodhya: BJP leader Vinay Katiyar today
asked Muslims to give up their claim on the disputed site in
Ayodhya and pave the way for construction of a temple there in
national interest.

"In the national interest it would be better that Muslims
leave their claim on the disputed site and give a message of
unity to the world by paving the way for construction of a
temple on Ram Janmbhoomi," Katiyar told reporters here.

He said if Muslims don`t do this, then a number of title
suits related to disputed sites in the country will crop up.

On president of Akhara Parishad Gyan Das` threat that
saints will leave BJP if Katiyar was not expelled, he said
that his words were like blessings for him.

"He is a great saint and I wish he becomes successful in
his efforts for an amicable solution," Katiyar said.

On the AIMPLB`s decision to move the SC, Katiyar said
the opposite parties will also move the apex court.

The BJP leader said that a law should be passed in
Parliament to sort out the Ayodhya dispute.
