Kidnapped Faridabad boy rescued in UP

An eight-year-old boy kidnapped from Faridabad last month was rescued in the district on Sunday and one suspect arrested from Kamlapur area, a senior officer said here.

kidnapped from Faridabad last month was rescued in the
district on Sunday and one suspect arrested from Kamlapur area, a
senior officer said here.

Vijay, son of a bank employee, was kidnapped from his
Sarvati colony residence in Haryana`s Faridabad district on
January 20, Additional Superintendent of Police A K Jain said.

The boy was kidnapped by Raghunandan who worked as a
vegetable vendor near the colony, Jain said, adding the
kidnappers had demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom.

After kidnapping Raghunandan kept Vijay at his sister`s
house in Narainpur Gadia village in Farukkhabad district,
which police raided this afternoon and recovered the boy, he
said.

While Raghunandan was arrested, two of his accomplices
Naveen and Lalit, who hailed from Faridabad, managed to flee
from the spot, the ASP said.
