"A complaint has been registered against Labour Minister Badshah Singh and a notice has been issued asking him to submit his reply by September 23," Lokayukta Justice N K Mehrotra said today.

Chief Minister Mayawati has been apprised about the complaint against the minister, an MLA from Maudaha assembly segment of Mahoba district, he said.

The minister was not available for comments.

Akhilesh Kumar Singh, a resident of Charkhari tehsil in Mahoba district, in his complaint lodged with the Lokayukta has accused the the BSP leader of grabbing government land.

The complainant alleged that the minister had constructed a school on a private land in the name of his father at Kharela and on this pretext included government land in its campus.

Congress asked Mayawati to take moral responsibility for the misconduct of her ministers and resign.
