Lucknow: The issue of law and order rocked Uttar Pradesh legislative council on Friday with opposition members demanding resignation of Chief Minister Mayawati for her failure to keep a tab on activities of criminal elements.
As soon as the House met this morning, the entire opposition, including SP, BJP and Congress members trooped into the well raising the issue of deteriorating law and order
in the state.
They also demanded resignation of Mayawati for her failure to check criminal activities in the state.
Chairman, Vidhan Parishad Ganesh Shankar Pandey adjourned the House for half-and-hour and later till noon.
