Lucknow: A cricket team led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday defeated a team of IAS officers here today after which the SP leader said politicians and bureaucrats could solve all the problems of the country if the work together as a team.
Taking a jibe at the rival 'IAS-11' team, the chief minister said, "There is something, some mystery, that they don't want us to lose."
Yadav said that it was a good tradition of the state that IAS officers and legislators were coming together to play the match and in this way they interact with each other.
The chief minister was declared 'Man of the Match' and his team won by 15 runs.
UP Assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey was the chief guest. He distributed the trophies and Yadav was also adjudged as the best bowler.
'CM-11' decided to bat first after winning the toss and scored 151 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs, according to an official release.
The 'IAS-11', led by senior IAS officer Javed Usmani, were all out for 136.
Yadav took 2 wickets.
