Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta has
issued notices to two cabinet ministers and an MLC of the
ruling BSP on charges of misuse of office.
"Notices have been issued to Transport Minister Ram Achal
Rajbhar, Science and Technology Minister Abdul Mannan and his
brother and MLC Abdul Hannan and they have been asked to
submit their reply within 15 days," Lokayukta Justice N K
Mehrotra said.

He said cases have been registered and Chief Minister
Mayawati has been informed about the inquiry against the
ministers and the MLC.

Four ministers Rajesh Tripathi, Awadhpal Singh, Rangnath
Mishra and Badshah Singh have already been removed on the
basis of Lokayukta`s report.

The complaint against Rajbhar has been lodged by Anand
Kumar Dwiwedi, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar district, who has
accused the minister of acquiring assets in the name of his
relatives and beyond known sources of his income, official
sources said.
Complaint against Science and Technology Minister Abdul
Mannan and MLC Abdul Hannan has been filed by Anurag Tripathi,
belonging to Hardoi district, who has accused the duo of
having disproportionate assets and grabbing government and
village land, besides misusing local area development fund,
they said.

Tripathi has alleged that Mannan and his brother managed
to get names of around 3,000 people, including 40-50 members
of their family in electoral rolls at more than two places.

"The complaint will now be verified from district
magistrate," Justice Mehrotra said.

Meanwhile, the Lokayukta has closed inquiry against four
