Madarsa teacher shot dead in UP

A 40-year-old madarsa teacher has been shot dead by unidentified assailants at Tawli village in Muzaffarnagar.

Muzaffarnagar: A 40-year-old madarsa teacher has been shot dead by unidentified assailants at Tawli village in the district, police said on Saturday.
Maulvi Irfan was shot dead by four assailants while he was coming to the village with a relative on a motorcycle yesterday, police said.

Irfan died on the spot, they said, adding that old enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the murder.

A case has been registered and search operation launched to nab the accused, police said.
