Meerut: A 60-year-old woman was shot dead allegedly by his son, while he was out on parole after being convicted of killing his father about seven years ago, police said on Thursday.
The accused, Lokesh (35), serving life imprisonment, had an argument with his mother allegedly over a land dispute and later shot her several times, they said.
The incident took place last evening when victim Kripali, former head of Baphar village was feeding livestock near her home. When his cousin Veer Singh tried to intervene, the accused also hit him with the butt of the weapon, police said.
