Varanasi: Attacking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the coal block allocation controversy, BJP leader Uma Bharti has said he should retire from politics.

"The Prime Minister should not wait till corruption charges levelled against him are proved. He should immediately quit public life," Bharti told media here yesterday.

The BJP leader was here to participate in a function.

The Prime Minister had said that he will quit public life if Team Anna's charges of irregularities in allocation of coal blocks when he held the portfolio are proved.

Yogi M. P. Singh - Dist-Mirzapur(U.P.)
Manmohan Singh is personally a good man as well honest. There is fury among the masses against him as he is shielding the corrupt ministers of his cabinet. His place can be filledup by Rahul Gandhi but Rahul Gandhi has no confidence and escaping from responsibility. Next time election may be contested by congress party in the efficient leadership of Rahul Gandhi as there is no expectations from others.
