Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and
BSP supremo Mayawati on Wednesday removed a cabinet minister and also
expelled him from the party for "his behaviour and conduct
which were adverse to the dignity of his post".

Minister for Land Development and Water Resources Ashok
Kumar Dohre was sacked from the ministry following several
complaints against him, a BSP spokesman said here.
"Governor B L Joshi has relieved the minister Dohre from
his ministerial post on the recommendation of Chief Minister
Mayawati for his behaviour and conduct which were adverse to
the dignity of his post," an official spokesman said.

Later, the BSP supremo also suspended Dohre, an MLA from
Auraiya district, from the party.

Mayawati during meetings had directed the ministers,
MPs, MLAs, party office-bearers and workers to present an
example in public life besides non-interference in government
works, he said.

Dohre, however, functioned and behaved adversely against
these directives, the spokesman said, but didn`t elaborate the
incident which led to minister`s ouster.
Dohre is the second minister to be sacked by Mayawati in
less than a month.

Earlier, on December 25, minister Rajesh Tripathi was
dropped from her council of ministers after the state
Lokayukta accused him of collecting money on the dead through
an NGO run by him.
