Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Thursday alleged some officers with the help of their relatives in opposition parties were trying to create a bad image of her government and warned them of strict action.
"Those officers, who with the help of their relatives in opposition parites are trying to create a bad image of the goverment, will be dealt strictly once enough proof is found against them", Mayawati said while addressing a press conference here.
Alleging that previous governments in the state had made the entire official machinery irresponsible, Mayawati said she was "cleansing" the system.
"The earlier governments in the state had made the entire official machinery irresponsible. I am cleansing the system and the process will take some time", Mayawati said replying to efforts by oppositing parties to put the BSP government in the dock over law and order in the state.
