Mayawati alleged "both (Congress and BJP) have always worked against the interests of Dalits, backward class and the poor and framed policies which have made rich richer."

She said the Congress` UPA and BJP-led NDA have ruled the country for long, "but both the parties have failed to improve the lot of the poor people."

"A huge amount of black money is stashed in foreign banks, but they (Congress and BJP) have made no efforts to bring it back," she said.

"If this black money is brought back to our country, most of the problems faced by the poor, Dalits and tribals will be over in times to come."
