Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
Mayawati Tuesday ordered timely completion of projects related
to development of basic amenities in Agra, Meerut and Lucknow.
"The officials should closely monitor development
works being carried out in these cities and undertake physical
verification from time to time," Mayawati said during a
high-level meeting held here this afternoon.
Putting emphasis on the need for speedy implementation
of Gomti Action Plan, she said the river front development
scheme should be executed within the time schedule.
For better upkeep of parks in the city, she directed
the officials concerned to chalk out an action plan and
implement it within a definite time-frame.
She also enquired about the progress of sewage
treatment plant in the city.
Citing completion of only 14 out of a total of 30
development projects launched for Agra, Mayawati said, "Rest
of the projects should be completed at the earliest."
Rs 14 crore had already been released by the state
government for the purpose, she said.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of
various projects including those related to the drinking water
scheme being implemented in Meerut.
