Minor girl raped in UP

Unnao (UP): A 15-year-old girl, belonging
to a backward community, was allegedly raped in Naibatpur
village of Safipur area here, police said.

The girl was raped by a villager when her parents were
not at home on Tuesday evening, they said.

The accused has been arrested, Circle Officer Keshav
Chandra Goswami said.

The probe is on in the matter, he said, adding that
the medical report is awaited.

The state has witnessed a spate of rape incidents
recently.
