Muzaffarnagar: A 48-year-old missing astrologer from Uttarakhand has been found murdered at Chunsa village in nearby Shamli district, police said on Monday.
The body of Harshman Paukhriyal, who went missing on January 16, was found in a sugarcane field here yesterday, a police official said here.
Paukhriyal's body bore several injury marks, he added.
The astrologer had come to Shamli from Pauri town in Uttarakhand earlier this month.
A missing complaint had been lodged with the Uttarakhand police by his family after he went missing on January 16, the official said.
The Shamli police has registered a case of murder against unidentified miscreants, he said.
