Lucknow: Former BJP leader Kalyan Singh
on Friday ruled out the possibility of his return to the party.
"Confusion is being spread by the BJP that I am
joining the party again, but there is no question of going
back," he told reporters here.
Kalyan left the BJP in 2009. He had returned to the
party fold in 2004 after his earlier exit in 1999.
The leader also rejected any possibility of his
Jankranti Party tying up with other parties for UP assembly
elections due next year.
"The party has started its preparations for Uttar
Pradesh state assembly elections due and the first list of the
candidates will be released on July 30," he said, adding his
party will try to contest maximum number of seats.
The former chief minister said that in the first
phase, interview of probable candidates would be held between
July 26 to July 27 followed by scrutiny of list on July 28 and
July 29.
Kalyan claimed that existing political scenario was
completely in favour of the JKP.
"Seats of BSP and SP would reduce and BJP would be
limited to 27-28 seats....there is an open field for the JKP,"
he said.
The JKP founder said that his party would contest on
maximum number of seats in assembly polls.
On return of Uma Bharati to BJP and her being made
incharge of UP, he said that it will have no impact on JKP`s
vote bank.
"Uma will make no impact in UP and she cannot dent our
vote bank," Kalyan said.
He said that if Uma wants to be her "successor, then
she should first quit BJP and join JKP".
District president of Hardoi unit of SP Padamraj
Singh, son of former MLA Vishram Singh Yadav, joined the JKP
and was announced as JKP candidate from Sawaijpur assembly
segment.
