Noida citizens join clean up drive

Hundreds of citizens participated in a clean-up drive in Noida today as part of the `Meri Dilli, Meri Yamuna` pilot project.

Noida: Hundreds of citizens participated in
a clean-up drive in Noida today as part of the `Meri Dilli,
Meri Yamuna` pilot project.

Noida was part of the project which included key market
places in Delhi, Gurgaon, Dwarka and Faridabad.

"It is not just a campaign. It is my role in society. I
am here to help clean up campaigners. It is my city. If I do
not clean it, who will?" said Savita Bhatia, a resident of
Noida.

She was among those who gathered at Chauda Mor, Sector
12-22, to participate in the Art of Living `Meri Dilli, Meri
Yamuna` project.

Over 140 bags of garbage were collected by some 450
volunteers that included residents, MCD officials and hawkers.
