Mainpuri: The district
administration has invoked National Security Act and Gangster
Act against 63 people on charges of disturbing panchayat
polls, a senior officer said on Thursday.
"NSA and Gangster Act has been slapped against 10
persons in Sultanganj block and 53 in Parigama for disturbing
polling in the first phase of panchayat elections on October
11," Superintendent of Police Upendra Kumar said.
He said that more persons, who disturbed poll process,
were being identified and stern action would be taken against
them.
