Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday
invoked the National Security Act against a ruling BSP
MLA arrested in connection with the abduction of 14 BDC members
during Block Pramukh elections last December.
The NSA had been invoked against MLA Bhagwan Sharma
alias Guddu Pandit and another person Vinod Rao, according to Special
DGP Brij Lal.
Both were arrested in connection with the abduction of
14 BDC members in Hasanpur area in Jyotiba Phule Nagar
The MLA`s brother, Prem Kumar, was also nabbed on the
charge of threatening voters.
Pandit represents Dibai assembly constituency in
Bulandshahr district in the state assembly.
