PAC jawans-students clash, six injured in UP

At least six students of a college were injured after a clash broke out between them and Provincial Armed Police (PAC) jawans here when the students demanded removal of a PAC camp from their campus, police said here Monday.

here Monday.
The clash broke out last night after the students of Nath
Chandrawat Hostel of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University
demanded removal of PAC camp from their campus ahead of Holi
celebrations and University examinations, they said.

The students later jammed Mohaddipur area and pelted
stones at police vehicles, police said.

Six students have been arrested in this connection, they
said, adding that the situation is now under control and the
PAC camp has been shifted to Khorabar area.
