PhD student commits suicide in Kanpur
Kanpur: A P.hD student allegedly committed
suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling at her residence in Chakori area, police said here Thursday.
Sarika (26), a P.hD student in Lucknow, had come on
vacation to her house here. She was depressed over some issue
and last evening she took the extreme step, they said.
Her body has been sent for post-mortem but the cause
behind her suicide has not been ascertained yet, they added.
