Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader and a minister in Uttar Pradesh, Azam Khan said on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was praising Muslims on one hand and calling them patriots but on the other hand his party men were spewing venom against the minority community.

He also said that the PM was doing nothing to warn them.

As per reports in a daily, the SP leader said that Modi was not advising his men against calling Muslims anti-nationals.

Khan accused Modi of permitting the BJP leaders to spread hatred against the minority community.

At the same time he said that Muslims had never been victims of misguidance.

BJP leaders like Yogi Adityanath and Sakshi Maharaj have been at the receiving end of the Opposition lately for allegedly trying to vitiated the communal atmosphere in UP.

The issue of 'love jihad' raised by the BJP has also been criticised by the Opposition.

Modi in a recent interview to an international TV channel had said that Indian Muslims would live and die for India and not dance to the tunes of al Qaeda.

He had called the terror outfit delusional in believing that Muslims of India would heed to their call and join their cause.
