Modi, who favours a ring road that would allow delivery trucks and other vehicles to avoid the city center, will be putting forth his plans in this regard.

Top sources in the government have said that Modi had already issued directions to his team, directing them to draw up a list of tasks that need to be taken up for the city on priority basis.

Modi, who contested his first election outside Gujarat, registered a stunning victory by defeating his nearest rival Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Aadmi Party by a massive margin of nearly 3.71 lakh votes.

After becoming Prime Minister, Modi resigned the Vadodara seat from where he had won by a record margin of 5.70 lakh votes and retained Varanasi.
