Mainpuri: An officer was suspended an
FIR was lodged against 190 others for failing to report for
duty during the first phase of panchayat polls in Uttar
Pradesh, officials said here Monday.
Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari of Shahalampur village
Subedar Verma has been placed under suspension by district
magistrate Sachchidanand Dubey for not setting up a poll booth
in the village, they said.
On the directives of the District Magistrate, an FIR has
been lodged by project director S K Singh against 190
officials who did not attend election training or were absent
from duty during the first phase of the three-tier Panchayat
elections, the officials said.
