Amethi: In what may possibly raise some eyebrows, Congress president Sonia Gandhi's grandson Rehaan visited his maternal uncle Rahul Gandhi's Lok Sabha constituency Amethi on Thursday where he stayed overnight, reports claimed on Saturday.
Rehaan, son of Priyanka and Robert Vadra, was accompanied by his two friends to Amethi.
All three of them reached Amethi's Gauriganj district in luxury cars where they met a Dalit family.
According to reports, Rehaan savoured local food at a house and slept on cot inside a mosquito net. For breakfast, he had Indian food which included Aloo ke Paranthe, a gravy made of potato and tomato and curd.
He also took a tour of the village and interacted with locals.
In 2014 General Elections, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had defeated his nearest rival BJP leader Smriti Irani by approximately 1,07,000 votes.
In March, posters announcing reward for 'missing' Rahul Gandhi had sprung up in Amethi. "The posters are put up in Amethi town, market, railways station and schools, but Rahul Gandhi has not been found anywhere" Hari Krishna Shukla, a resident of Amethi was quoted as saying by ANI.
