Badaun: A local court has ordered the police
to register an FIR against three transport department
officials including Additional Road Transport Official for
using casteist remarks against a person and threatening to
kill him.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Pawan Pratap Singh issued these
orders on the plea of Pravesh Kumar, who alleged that ARTO R B
Gupta, Road Inspector Bheem Sen and clerk Manoj Saxena used
casteist remarks and gave life threats to him.
The incident took place when Kumar had gone to get his
vehicle registered in the Transport office.
The CJM ordered Civil Lines police station to lodge a
complaint in this regard and inquire the incident.
The applicant alleged that he filed a complaint with
the police but no FIR was lodged.
