Robbers loot passengers on Garib Rath train; one injured

A passenger was seriously injured when armed dacoits attacked him for resisting them as they looted Rs 50,000 at a train last night, police said.

Ghaziabad: A passenger was seriously
injured when armed dacoits attacked him for resisting them as
they looted Rs 50,000 at a train last night, police said.

The incident occured at the Garib Rath train going to
Delhi from Kishanganj in Bihar, police said, adding, the
robbers looted Rs 50,000 from a trader.

When another trader Rakesh tried to resist their
attempts, they stabbed him before they got down from the train
near yamuna river, they said.

Rakesh was rushed to hospital here when the train came
to ghaziabad railway station about 10 PM.

In another case, armed men allegedly robbed Rs 17,000,
two mobile phones and a laptop from an electronic showroom in
Modinagar area last night at gun point, police said.
