Lucknow: A court has summoned two alleged
shooters of the Saifi murder case on July 8 in connection with
a plea by Lucknow Police for taking the duo in their custody.

The two shooters - Saleem and Rustom - who were
brought from Delhi earlier and remanded to judicial custody
till July 13 , were today produced before chief judicial
magistrate Rajesh Upadhyaya, who fixed July 8 as the next date
of hearing.

The counsel of the duo sought time for filing
objections on the application of police remand.

It was also submitted on behalf of the prosecution
that both the shooters have to attend court proceedings in
connection with other cases in Delhi on July 4 and 7 and
accordingly the court fixed July 8 as the next date of
hearing.

Meanwhile, the additional district and sessions court
would hear the bail application moved by BSP leader Intizar
Ahmed Abdi alias Bobby on July 4.

The court directed CMO, Lucknow to produce the medical
report of Bobby within a week.

The CMO informed the court that since Bobby was
admitted to the SGPGI hospital, the medical examination, as
asked by the court, could not be performed.

On this, the court directed the CMO to obtain his
medical report from the SGPGI and produce it within a week.

The BSP leader is an accused in the case.
Abdi is also an accused in a case relating to arsoning
at the UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi`s residence.
