New Delhi: Amid demands that a CBI probe be ordered into Sara Singh's death, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday assured that the government would initiate proper action which would reveal many facts of this case.

Talking to the media here, Yadav said that he met Sara's mother Seema Singh this morning during which she put forward her views.

"She has also written a letter to me. I want to assure you that the government will think over it and will take decisions which will reveal many facts. We will give her security from today onwards," he added.

Sara, the wife of former Uttar Pradesh minister Amanmani Tripathi, died in a road accident in Firozabad on July 9. But her family insists that she was murdered and has demanded a CBI probe into the matter.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik had earlier written to the Chief Minister seeking action on an application from Seema Singh demanding a CBI probe into the death of her daughter in an alleged car crash.
