Ghaziabad: Security has been strengthened
for Chief Minister Mayawati during her visits to Delhi and
various districts of the state, in view of threats by
terrorists, Maoists and other criminals.
In a letter to district police chiefs of Ghaziabad,
Gautambudh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Meerut and Bagpat, IGP(Meerut)
Chander Prakash directed them to make special security
arrangements for chief minister`s visit to their districts.
The Ghaziabad and Gautambudh Nagar police will provide
security to her during her visits to Delhi, apart to her
regular Z plus security cover.
The IGP said Mayawati was reeling under threat of
terrorists, Maoists and other criminals, hence she needs
special alert for her security cover.
