Lucknow: Seven members of the notorious
`kachcha baniyan` gang have been arrested in Mau district and
ornaments worth Rs 1,85,000 were recovered from them, police
said on Tuesday.
Seven members of the gang, including their leader, were
arrested near Munshipura over-bridge yesterday, Additional
Director General of Police (law and order), Brij Lal said.
Gold and silver ornaments stolen from different places in
Kotwali and Sarai Lakhansi areas worth Rs 1,85000 were
recovered from them, he said.
Six of those arrested hailed from Rajasthan and one from
Etawah in UP, the ADG added.
