Seven people injured in communal clash

At least seven persons were injured when two groups clashed over an eve teasing issue, police said on Friday.

Muzaffarnagar: At least seven persons were
injured when two groups clashed over an eve teasing issue,
police said on Friday.

The incident occurred last evening at Balwa village
when a youth teased a girl belonging to another community.
When the girl`s family objected to this, violent
clashes sparked off between the two communities. Police have
registered a case in connection with the incident.

In a separate incident, six Dalits were injured when a
clash broke out after the Jat community opposed a religious
function at Sohjani village in the district.

Police have arrested one person in this connection.
