Six persons, including a girl, were killed in rain related incidents in the district today.

Four persons were killed and a labourer was injured
when an newly build double-storey house collapsed in heavy
rains in Dayanand Colony at about 3 AM, Additional
Superintedent of Police Radhey Mohan Bharadwaj said.
The dead have been identified as Rishi Kumar (47 yrs),
the owner of the house and labourers Tinku (17), Pyare (32
yrs) and Ram Lal (30).
Rishi had recently purchased the house and was getting
it renovated. The house was possibly struck by lightening,
In another incident, twelve-year-old Gita was buried
alive when the wall of their neighbour`s house collapsed due
to heavy rains.
65-year-old Ramvati was killed and her husband Ramhet
was injured when a girder fell on them while they were
sleeping. Ramhet was admitted to a private hospital, Bharadwaj
SDM Rajiv Gupta has announced ex-gratia relief of Rs
one lakh each to next of kin of each of the deceased.
