Moradabad: Six persons drowned and nine others were missing after a boat capsized in Ramganga river in the district early Tuesday morning.
The boat carrying 25 people overturned when passengers were alighting near Daswan Ghat at around 6:30 am, DIG, Moradabad B P Jogdand said.
Ten passengers had got down when the boat overturned. Six bodies have been found and a hunt is on for the nine others missing, he said.
The villagers of Bangla Gaon were going to their fields on the other side of the bank when the mishap took place.
