Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Thursday challenged the Aam Aadmi Party to contest polls in Uttar Pradesh.

“We welcome anyone to come and fight elections in UP,” SP leader Naresh Agarwal said.

He added: “We should see what the mandate of the people of Uttar Pradesh is.”

Riding on its spectacular debut in Delhi Assembly polls, the AAP has set its eyes on contesting elections in others states as well as nationally.

Among the states on AAP’s radar are Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana.
