Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party on Monday expelled
its three leaders, including an MLC, on charges of working
against party candidates in their respective districts during
the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.
MLC and former minister Khwaja Haleem, former MLC Ram
Naresh Yadav and ex-MLA Manik Chandra Yadav had been expelled
from the Samajwadi Party for anti-party activities, party
spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said.
He said Haleem, Ram Naresh and Manik Chandra worked
against party candidates in Aligarh, Etawah and Mainpuri
Yesterday, the party removed its Secretary Rajiv Rai on
charges of anti-party activities.
